(Formerly Air International Transit). Sigma Coach Air Group manufacture air conditioners for mining, defense and industrial applications, and are one of 3 manufacturers of rail air conditioners in the world.  They are a dominant player in Australia, Europe and Asia, and have enjoyed recent success in north America.

Custom Group have been commissioned to manufacture and assemble the air conditioners for Queensland Rail's new RPR48 rail cars.

Components are nested together in one sheet to form a kit. Parts are laser cut, folded, then individually placed into a jig where they are welded to high tolerance. From the jig they are lifted out and sent to the assembly area where the units are fitted out with all the refrigeration components and then fully water tested and run tested. The manufacturer need only mount the unit on top of the train.

Custom Group manufactures the full Oil Tech range of hydraulic oil coolers, both large and small.

These comprise sheet metal, purchased components, electricals as well as a mounted fan at the rear of the unit.

Custom Group's zinc phosphate treatment is critical to this application.

Custom Group have recently completed a prototype of the next generation of NSW State Rail messaging systems, similar to those seen at major railway stations.

The latest LCD computer display and the associated electronics are incorporated into sheet metal housings, with multiple units on each side of the finished complex.

The design of the housings allowed for rapid service & repair, to minimise downtime.
